River Rock School’s Silent and Called auction will be held Saturday March 23rd at the Unitarian Church in Montpelier. The preview and silent auction starts at 1:00 pm and the live called auction will begins at 1:30 pm. The live auction is always a show and there will be food and drinks for sale. The proceeds help support River Rock School, a small independent school offering handcrafted education in Montpelier. Our Body: the Universe Within is a traveling science exhibit on human anatomy. The exhibit consists of six galleries of actual human specimens in a logical presentation of the biological systems of the human body: Musculoskeletal, Head and Nervous, Urinary/Reproductive (including a unit on prenatal), Digestive, Respiratory, and Cardiovascular. The exhibition was designed to educate, enlighten, and allow all who attend to understand the complexities of the human body and to see how each system functions and relates to all the other systems. As a way to orient the visitor, the exhibit opens with a display of the history of anatomy throughout the ages from the earliest drawings to the present-day process of plastination.
