Farms and Garden Book Series: 2/8/12 - 2/8/12
The Farms & Gardens book series continues on Wednesday Feb 8, at 6:30 pm. Join scholar Linda Bland for a discussion of A Country Year by Sue Hubbell. Vermonters know well the rich metaphors inherent in farming and gardening. This book-and-discussion series digs deep to explore the philosophical roots, family dynamics, and personal enrichment associated with tending and growing. Books are on loan at the Library. (A VT Humanities Council program.)


Osgood Lectures on the North Series: Film Showing and Discussion 2/13/12 - 2/13/12

Valentine's Day at Fresh Tracks Farm 2/14/12 - 2/14/12
Come treat your sweet heart to a night of sweet indulgences! We will have $4 glasses of Vermont Rose and Little Piggy Pink, plates of local chocolate delights, and live music by Amapola from 6-9 pm! Plus maybe a few other surprises…. Amapola stars Jairo Sequeira (on nylon string guitar) and Miriam Bernardo (vocals). The duo formed eight years ago because of their mutual love of music from all over Latin America. Ruth Einstein, friend and collaborator, will be joining them on the violin. They will be performing the music of Mercedes Sosa, Lhasa De Sela, Lila Downs, Violeta Parra, Silvio Rodriguez, and many more artists that are well known and loved in Latin America.
