Goshen, Vermont

Goshen is a town in Addison County, of the "Mid Vermont" region, founded in February 1792. Not to be confused with a village of the same name in the town of Newbury, this town was probably named for Goshen in Litchfield County, Connecticuit, where many of the grantees originated.

In Vermont, place names like Bethel, Canaan and Goshen were chosen because they carried connotations of rich, fertile lands, and because it was hoped they would attract settlers.

Goshen Gallop 10K 7/18/15 - 7/18/15
A rugged 10K course takes the runner on the dirt and gravel roads of Goshen and onto a packed soil surface up to elevations between 1800 and 2100 feet above sea level following the Blueberry Hill Inn hiking, biking and skiing trails set in the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of the Green Mountain National Forest. It’s an exciting and challenging event that welcomes runners of all abilities. The run is followed by a race meal, awards, and music. An event for the whole family!
