Sharon is a town in Windsor County, of the "Eastern Vermont Gateway" region, and is home to The Sharon Academy, an independent middle and high school.
The town was named for Sharon, Connecticut, where most of the town's grantees and many of the subsequent settlers lived.
Some notable people of the area include: Jason Downer, a Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court; and Joseph Smith, Jr., founder of & prophet for the Latter Day Saint movement.
Flock Dance Troupe presents "Woman" an original dance theater production for the whole family depicting the ever evolving role of women in society.A full score of eclectic music, under the direction of Grammy award winning producer Jim Rooney, will propel the dancers. Families are encouraged to come early, bring a picnic and absorb the magical atmosphere of the Star Mountain Amphitheater in Sharon, VT. In case of rain the performance will be in the FLOCK barn.
