Stockbridge is a town in Windsor County, of the "Eastern Vermont Gateway" region, and includes the vilage of Gaysville. The town was named for Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where most of the town's grantees were from.
Stockbridge was one of thirteen Vermont towns isolated by flooding caused by Hurricane Irene in 2011.
A notable person from the area was Orestes Brownson, an intellectual, preacher and labor organizer.
Stockbridge PTO is hosting our 2nd annual Community Bingo on March 31. $10 adults, $5 kids for a chance to with Thirty-One Gifts products. There will be 2 grand prizes, one for adults and one for kids. Food available for sale. Doors open at 5:30, Bingo starts promptly at 6 pm. All proceeds go to SCS PTO.
