Description: Vermont composer James Stewart presents a free concert of his works entitled “Visions, Sounds, and Stories” on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 7:00pm, at the Richmond Free Library in Richmond, Vermont. The eclectic multi-media program includes a mix of music, video, electronics, and storytelling that explores the mind, pain, hope, pests, ideas, the past, and death itself. Stewart is a composer, performer, and classical host on Vermont Public Radio. As a composer, Stewart embraces many different genres of music - writing for rock bands, symphony orchestras, and everything in between. He has written music for film, the concert stage, and for musical theater. Stewart performs in the Richmond concert as a vocalist, pianist, and guitarist. He is joined by Kari Anderson, oboe and electronics; Elizabeth Reid, viola; Susan Summerfield, piano; and Adam Grundt, Claire Hungerford, Mark Madison, Linda Radtke, Annalise Shelmandine, and Dawn Willis, vocals.
