STAND AGAINST RACISM is a nationwide youth conference hosted by the YWCA to help youth learn more about racial equality and cultural pluralism. This year, it will be held at the Montpelier High School on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. The conference is open to any youth ages 13 and older. The gathering is designed to facilitate discussion and education about racial equity in our country. The day consists of fun and energetic activities like: improvisational acting, art for justice, dialogue about race and racism, poetry, response/discussion about film, and more. We strongly encourage those who are interested to help volunteer to be peer leaders, or simply attend the event.
