One of the most tantalizing ways to learn about a culture is through its food. These four mouth-watering novels highlight how what we eat is closely aligned with who we are. Discussion of the first novel The Mistress of Spices (Indian) by Chitra Divakaruni, will be with scholar Kati Osgood on September 24th. Paper Fish (Italian-American)by Tina de Rosa, Monday, October 15 at 6:30pm scholar Rachael Cohen Crescent (Persian- and Arab-American) by Diana Abu-Jaber, November 5 at 6:30pm scholar Sherry Olson. The Last Chinese Chef (Chinese) by Nicole Mones, November 26 at 6:30pm scholar Rachael Cohen. Books are available on loan in advance. A Vermont Humanities Council program.
