Sales Representatives
Vermont.com is looking for sales representatives to join our energetic team in the Manchester office (or possibly in the Burlington area). Your primary role will be calling prospective customers to sell ad space and other services associated with our portal site. You will work with the prospects' best interests in mind to tailor packages that meet their goals and exceed their expectations. You will also act as an account manager to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate ongoing, mutually beneficial, relationships.
Our ideal candidate will jump on board and work side-by-side with our team to uncover and pursue business development opportunities. You should be enthusiastic, organized, Vermont-loving, computer literate, well spoken, and most importantly, comfortable on the phone. Having prior sales experience (especially advertising/media/internet sales) would put you ahead of the crowd. Call lists are organized, so there's no competition with other staff. Training and support are provided, and thinking out of the box is encouraged.
The market is wide open, and we're diving in head-first. Join us here at Vermont.com. Help our clients boost results for their web sites and products. If you're ready to learn our business model, and looking for a place where more motivation leads to more opportunity, this is a place where you can flourish.
Send your cover letter, resume, and references to Jobs@Vermont.com or call Mark at 802-362-2000 for more info.

Tom Checchia spent an evening drinking aquavit with his friend, Carl, who worked at The Landgrove Inn - and still does, on occasion! Worried that the Inn, which was for sale, might be bought by someone he wouldn't like, Carl planted the idea in Tom's head that he should buy it.
