Grafton Village Cheese began as The Grafton Cooperative Cheese Company in 1892. A fire destroyed the original factory in 1912, but the Windham Foundation, in the mid-1960s, restored the company and many buildings throughout the town of Grafton. Today, quality and taste are the hallmarks of our award-winning, handcrafted cheese, and we have two production plants: our original in Grafton, and a new facility in nearby Brattleboro. Each has a retail store with viewing windows to watch the cheesemaking.

Grafton Village Cheeses are made from the finest raw milk directly from local family farms. The milk is heat-treated to ensure the quality of our end products. By law, raw milk cheese must be aged for 60 days. All Grafton Cheeses are aged for a minimum of 60 days.
