OVERVIEW

The Manchester Parks & Recreation Department runs a variety of programs for residents of all ages and abilities, including swim lessons, summer camp, school vacation camps and senior citizen programs.

FACILITIES

  • Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park
    • more than 88 acres of land
    • a large swimming pool and kiddie pool
    • Applejack Field (a professional-grade lighted athletic field with a historic grandstand)
    • several baseball diamonds and athletic fields fields
    • three playgrounds for kids of all ages
    • a one-mile walking path
    • a dog park that is owned and operated by the Manchester Dog Park (a not-for-profit organization)
    • a skateboard park
       
  • Factory Point Town Green
    • located in the heart of Manchester on Depot Street, with a nearby dam and waterfall
    • host to the summer concert series, organized by the Manchester and Mountains Chamber of Commerce
    • enjoy sitting on the grass and enjoying the sun or throwing a frisbee with friends
       
  • Adams Park
    • located at the intersection of Main Street and Center Hill Road
    • a terrific location for a family picnic
    • host to the Manchester Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons between 3PM and 6PM
       
  • Wendy's Way
    • the Town's first bike route, a 5.6 mile loop
