The Oldcastle Theatre Company was formed in 1972 by five actors from New York, one of whom, Eric Peterson, was from Bennington. It was a touring troupe thru 1977, after which it had a number of homes in Benniington. In 2012, Oldcastle moved to its current location at 331 Main Street. Oldcastle has produced close to 300 productions in 25 states as well as in foreign countries.
