The goal of the Vermont State Rail Program, a division of the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), is to promote the efficient and effective operation of the state’s rail system.
The Rail Program assists in the development of opportunities for the shippers and receivers of rail freight in the state and is also responsible for the Amtrak/Vermont Intercity Passenger Rail partnership.
