Starksboro is a town in Addison County, of the Middlebury-Vergennes region. The town was named for General John Stark, who led the New Hampshire Militia in the Battle of Bennington.
Some notable people of the area include: Barbara Cochran, an Olympic slalom gold medalist (1972); and David Mason, a stonemason.
