Vermont Snowmobiling in the Northeast Kingdom Region
(View Statewide Listings)
Snowmobiling in Vermont has been a favorite winter pastime for over 40 years.
The Northeast Kingdom region
covers the entire Northeastern section of Vermont, and is home to Vermont's snowmobiling
capital, Island Pond, with trail connections linking in all directions.
The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST),
together with local clubs, maintains Vermont's snowmobile trail network with over
120 groomers. To ride in the Northeast Kingdom, just purchase a trail pass (TMA)
for your legally registered snowmobile through a local club
and you're on your way! Or take a guided tour from one of Vermont's many snowmobile
tour operators. Often referred to as "God's Country" because the area is full of
pristine untouched landscape, the
Northeast Kingdom
is an outdoorsman's paradise.
A typical snowmobile season in Vermont runs from December 1 through April 1. Find
out the latest snowmobile trail conditions across Vermont by checking the
VAST trail report.
