Greg Noonan's 1986 book, Brewing Lager Beer, helped break open the microbrewing industry in the United States. He then opened The Vermont Pub & Brewery in 1988, the state's first and longest running craft brewpub. Their beer is fresh, wholesome, unpasteurized, and unfiltered. The pub brews with artisanal imported malts and fresh hops and doesn't rush the process. They are one of the most popular brewpubs because they do it well, and they are famous for a reason: Quality.
