The Town of Fairlee, Vermont, which includes the Village of Ely, is located in the "Woodstock-Quechee" region of the state, between the Connecticut River and the foothills of the Green Mountains.

Fairlee has two scenic lakes, Lake Morey and Lake Fairlee, both with long and proud histories. Lake Morey claims to have the longest ice skating trail in the United States.
