Warren Vermont is a small rural four-season town located at the southern end of the Mad River Valley in Washington County. The town is home to the Warren-Sugarbush Airport and Sugarbush Ski Resort. The ski area began in the late 1930s with the first ski tow established in the Mad River Valley.
Scenic VT Route 100 runs from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border, thru Warren Vermont, where it crosses the Mad River at the Warren Covered Bridge. The bridge is a 1-lane, 59-foot long Queenpost truss, built in 1880.
The VSO Brass Quintet joins forces with Counterpoint, this year guest-conducted by Kevin Quigley, to ring in the holidays in style. Selections range from a brass arrangement of a Bach chorale and majestic Poulenc motets to popular tunes like “Sleigh Ride,” “Let It Snow,” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The program also includes a carol singalong, a brand-new student composition, and traditional favorites by Robert De Cormier. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on this seasonal treat—a perfect blend of brass, voices, and good cheer. Tickets are available through Ginny Roth at Roth Real Estate, (802) 496-3865.
